Spend It Good... My $9.97 Gap Dresses!

During the Summer I purchased 2 dresses from the Gap that were original Price $98 reduced to $9.97. I love the bottom of the dress so I bought them knowing that I could reconstruct them later. I was very inspired by a picture of the Beautiful Feather Dress and so with a party to go to, I grabbed scissors, Black thread, a needle, and a belt that needed to be repaired.
The Skirt had no opening, but because it of the stretch in the belt. I was able to slip into it like a bandage skirt. I only recommend this for a one time wear lol. I took mine to my seamstress and she put a zipper in it and she also made the waist a little more snug.

My girl Lia Cocoa had made me the lace top (shown in my Shop your closet video), my jewelry was Cocoa Jewelry from my "Cocoa Jewelry Review.

I did black tights ( I usually wear opaque black)
and these Guess Patent Black Platforms that I picked up for about $30 at Winners!

Watch the video to see me transform this dress and for an Outfit of the Night!

Enjoy!

Spend It Good... Cocoa Jewelry Review

Cocoa Jewelry inside Shopper's Drugmart

Have you been to a Shopper's Drugmart Beauty Boutique?
These are the new concept Shopper's Stores that have a Beauty Section with High End Makeup like Urban Decay Cosmetics, Smashbox and Dior. The back of the department has a wall of Fragrances like Marc Jacobs, Prada and the entire Chanel collection; as well as Handbags, Pashminas Sunglasses and Jewelry.

When you are running to a special event, how many times have you stopped at Shopper's for a card, lipgloss or even pantyhose? Well you can get much more than that now and even collect Optimum points which you can turn into a credit when you need to replenish these items.

Cocoa Jewelry is the newest jewelry line to be carried in select Beauty Boutiques. I am a huge fan of the prices and the styles of Necklaces Bracelets Rings and Earrings. They do Home Jewelry Parties! For more information click Host a Cocoa Jewelry Party

If you don't have a Beauty Boutique near you, check out the website at cocoajewelry.com to see what other retailers have the jewelry. Shipping is available in Canada for $10 and $15 for the United States. The prices are very affordable and I just love being able to buy them at Shopper's Drugmart!

Spend it Good... Fall Trend Shopping!

When I do my YT videos, I try to do videos that always teach something... After carrying aroun the 09/11 issue of Elle, I decided to share my love of Magazines and how I use them to shop.

So I always start by buying a few mags, and then I stick with the one that I can't travel without. This month it's the September issue of Elle.

My copy is trashed... I have been carrying it around so much that I'm starting to lose pages. I put post it notes on everything I love, and then I get a glass of wine and report to my closet to have a "throw down" Seriously!

During this "Throw down" I pull every pc out that matches the trend etc. I really do throw it all down and then seperate everything into groups. Then I decide what I use during this season. From there, I go back to my mag and write down all of the items that I don't have. These become the priority intstead of buying cheap, sale or on impulse.  Elle is a great guide for Fall Shopping and even offers beautiful creatives that give so much inspiration.  Check out the video and stay tuned for a lookook on Fall trends!

Enjoy!

Press Play! Here is Part 2! Get a pen! You are going to want to write some of these tips in your Agenda!
